Recipe: Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour (or gluten-free)
  • 6 Tbsp of softened butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • cup dark chocolate chips
  • A little oil to grease the pan

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Mix oats, flour and salt together in one bowl.
  3. Mix egg, syrup, butter and vanilla together.
  4. Add dry and wet ingredients together and stir.
  5. Add in chocolate chips and stir well.
  6. Lightly grease cookie sheet.
  7. Drop by teaspoons onto pan.
  8. Bake 20 minutes.
  9. Cool on pan before eating or storing for best texture.
